Spring Mill Multi-Modal and Land Use Study

G&A utilized TCDI grant funding to prepare a multi-modal and land use study for the Spring Mill area of Whitemarsh Township, including the riverfront section along Washington Street, the  crossings of Lee Street and Station Avenue with both the Schuylkill River Trail and SEPTA train tracks, and potential redevelopment along North Lane. The study focused on the interaction between the various modes of transportation and potential improvements that can be implemented as the riverfront area is redeveloped. The project also presented potential  development/redevelopment scenarios that would best serve that area of the Township and neighboring Conshohocken Borough.

Significant public involvement was included via numerous project steering committee meetings and general public meetings, and obtaining input from stakeholders, residents, and users of the various amenities in the area. The document will serve as a framework for the Township to implement recommendations as opportunities and funding become available.
