Municipal Drive Pump Station

G&A provided construction administration and construction observation services for Caln Township Municipal Authority’s $3.2 million Municipal Drive Pump Station and Force Main project. The overall project was split into three separate contracts – one each for general/mechanical, electrical, and force main. The station was completed on schedule and with a final total price only 1% higher than the sum of the bids. The Municipal Drive Pump Station is a “sidestream” station that diverts a portion of the flow from the gravity interceptor and pumps it to Coatesville for treatment at the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) treatment plant. The remainder of the flow in the gravity interceptor goes to the Downingtown Area Regional Authority (DARA) treatment plant in Downingtown.
