Lynnewood Elementary School Site Design

G&A provided engineering services for the construction of a new 42,000 SF elementary school. The project involved demolition of the existing school building, associated parking and utilities, grading, new athletic fields, and stormwater management facilities, above and below ground. G&A obtained approvals from the Township and Delaware County Conservation District and provided technical specifications, bid assistance, and construction management services.

The project presented construction challenges due to the steep slopes on site and the need to keep the existing school building operational during construction. To accommodate these challenges, G&A created a phased plan that involved temporary utilities, grading, and a sediment basin followed by a specific Sequence of Construction to utilize the temporary measures and avoid conflicts and minimize delays during site construction.
