Kennedy Auto Detailing Center Development

This project involved the development of a 2,699 SF, one-story vehicle detailing center with car wash, on top of an existing building foundation. G&A prepared the Development Plan including demolition of the existing building, parking lot, curbing, sidewalk, utilities, wooded areas, and a portion of the existing retaining wall followed by the construction of accessways, sidewalks, off-street parking, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and stormwater management using best management practices (BMPs).

G&A provided a range of geotechnical and construction services including subsurface evaluations for infiltration feasibility and soil properties, as well as bearing conditions. In addition, G&A prepared retaining wall design drawings for the segmental retaining wall required for the project. The retaining wall, with a maximum height of 24 feet and a total area of nearly 7,000 SF, supports the paving improvements.

G&A performed jurisdictional review, site layout, grading, ADA compliance, stormwater management, utility layout, and regulatory permitting as well as construction observation and testing during the wall construction, including compaction testing and documentation of drainage and geogrid reinforcement features.
