Budd Bioworks Redevelopment

G&A was selected at the on-set of the project to provide leadership and recommendations regarding critical design decisions as Plymouth Group undertook redeveloping the former automotive steel stamping plant, known as Edward G. Budd factory, into Budd Bioworks.  Reinventing this 25 acre architecturally historic urban campus, includes the transformation of the multi-building 2M+/- SF facility providing for a prestigious life science campus reenergizing the Hunting Park neighborhood of North Philadelphia.  G&A’s work includes site civil engineering,  site planning, utility coordination and design, topographic survey, permitting, and development approvals.  At present, working closely with the MEP and Bio-Process engineering teams, G&A is master planning utility services to provide for infrastructure capabilities for immediate tenants as well as future occupants of the campus.  This includes new domestic water, fire water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, and electrical service.  We are also coordinating location of utility support yards, truck loading areas, and avoiding areas of environmental concern.
