Alpha Recycling Land Development

G&A provided environmental services in support of the redevelopment of a scrap metal yard to obtain Environmental Liability Relief under the PA Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act (Act 2). Remediation services included soil testing and borings, monitoring well installation, water sampling and testing, remediation plan preparation, and oversight of implementation. G&A simultaneously maintained compliance with county conservation district requirements, prepared and gained approval of borough lot consolidations, and coordinated with PennDOT for expansion into the property to include a low pressure force main.

The project included NPDES permitting, DEP approvals, outfall sampling, erosion and sediment plan preparation and permitting, infiltration testing, PCSM design and permitting, and PPC plan updating.  In addition, a Riparian Buffer Planting Plan was created to reestablish a buffer along McMichael Creek, a high quality cold water trout stream. The G&A Team secured approvals to advance site development and construction, and the project moved
forward with construction of a 6 bay garage, site paving, stormwater management controls, sanitary sewer forcemain extension, demolition of two buildings, and construction of a 12K SF building. G&A handled Construction NPDES permitting and Industrial NPDES permitting which required ongoing sampling/water monitoring and reporting.
