Upper Uwchlan Township Building Expansion and Pocket Park

Over the last few years G&A has assisted Upper Uwchlan Township with their plans to expand their township building and also include a pocket park.   The municipal complex renovation entailed a 5,000 SF building expansion as well as improved vehicular and pedestrian facilities.  G&A provided boundary and topographic survey, site design, stormwater management, and water meter pit design. G&A also assisted in the bid process.

In 2018 G&A’s Municipal staff, in partnership Ray Ott & Associates, completed a design for the construction of a pocket park just north of the township building. The project featured the construction of a 90’x90’ brick area with a large center planter and numerous seating areas as well as a walking trail which connected the Village of Eagle to a trail system located along the Pickering Valley Elementary School. Due to the limited space, stormwater management was handled via an underground stone storage area.  The park has served the community well, becoming a centerpiece for the Township’s heavily attended Annual Community Day.
