Sludge Tank Utilization

The Lower Perkiomen Valley Regional Sewer Authority (LPVRSA) has a one million gallon sludge storage tank that is currently not in use due to the tank’s aeration mixing system causing operational issues in sludge dewatering.

G&A prepared an alternatives analysis of various mechanical mixing technologies, including roof mounted mixers and pump mixing systems. Ultimately, LPVRSA decided to install a pump mixing system.  After collaborating with LPVRSA staff and the pump mixing system suppliers, G&A prepared plans and specifications to assist LPVRSA in awarding the construction contract through COSTARS.  G&A then provided construction oversight and administration services for successful project completion.
