Ursinus College Pedestrian and Traffic Signal Improvements

G&A prepared a feasibility study for pedestrian improvements along the College frontage on Main Street between 5th and 9th Avenues in Collegeville Borough.  In addition to traffic studies and data analysis, G&A through a cooperative agreement with the Borough of Collegeville, developed a design to improve safety along this corridor for students and residents.  The designs included two curb extensions to move pedestrians into a more visible location along with the installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at the midblock location and full signalization at the 6th Avenue intersection with a lead pedestrian interval.  G&A also provided grant services to reduce the cost to the College and coordinated the project through PennDOT and the Borough of Collegeville.
