Steeple View – Traditional Neighborhood Development

G&A is the design engineer, planner, and landscape architect for this nine-acre redevelopment project.  Phase I, a 3-story mixed-use building, was completed in 2017.  In the spring of 2021 the design team was successful in garnering support for a revised redevelopment plan for the entire site that will energize the Borough’s “downtown” by constructing a piazza, a ¼ mile long creek walk, and increased public parking to be shared with existing businesses along State Street.   A “Reserve Parking Plan” showing the maximum amount of parking, that can be installed after the project is complete, was accepted by the Borough.  The Reserve Parking Plan allowed G&A to work around the Borough’s parking issue achieving the mutual goal of getting the scenic creek walk and piazza built.  The piazza will front on Center Avenue, behind the existing Starbucks, and be complimented by a new office building and restaurant.  Four condominium buildings from the original plan remain tucked into the southerly corner of the site, with improved access featuring a unique circular parking lot to help traffic flow as well as pedestrian access.
