Minsi Lake Site Improvement Study

G&A prepared a Master Plan Site Improvement Study for the 300-acre Minsi Lake Wilderness Area, in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Minsi Lake is owned and managed under a state and county partnership and is considered a regional outdoor, fishing, and nature viewing destination. The final plan recommended improvements throughout the natural resource park, including: new parking, restroom facilities, wayfinding signage, fishing piers, ADA compliant boat launch, trail paths, wildlife viewing stations, and a picnic grove.  G&A received input and support from local and regional groups including the Friends of Minsi Lake, Pennsylvania’s Fish & Boat Commission, and the County, all of whom were closely involved in the study’s preparation.  G&A’s team of planners and designers researched the history of the park; the protected natural resources; and interviewed local and natural resource officials, and prepared recommendations and concept plans that will have lasting benefit to the Wilderness Area and its 120-acre impoundment and recreational fishing lake.
