G&A designed the Master Site Development Plan (MSDP) as a working document to guide future decision making for both Covered Bridge and Orchard Parks. The MSDP and Site Development  Drawing are the culmination of an intensive design and extensive public participation process that included collaboration between New Britain Borough, the New Britain Civic Association, community residents and other stakeholders, and represents the goals for future development, use, and stewardship of each park property.  Key considerations included environmental stewardship and implementation of stormwater BMPs, flood mitigation, upgrades and realignment of existing active recreation and parking facilities, ADA access to park facilities and access to the passive recreation opportunities in Orchard Park.  This project was partially funded through a PA Department of Conservation of Natural Resources Community Conservation Partnerships Program grant.
