Bushkill Township Ordinance Updates

G&A completed significant updates to the Bushkill Township Zoning and Subdivision & Land Development Ordinances. Revisions to the Zoning Ordinance included preparation of timber  harvesting/forestry regulations; updates to the natural resource protection standards regarding floodplain, riparian buffer, wetlands, wetlands buffer, woodland, and steep slope regulations; additional regulations for solar energy systems, lighting, and the keeping of animals; updates to the use regulations and area and dimensional requirements for various uses; updates to regulations/procedures for conditional use. Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance updates include revisions to the following: definitions, regulations for review/approval of plans, the design standards and required improvements regulations, the landscape portion of the ordinance addressing removal of invasive species in open space/buffer areas and to require native plantings.

G&A is assisting the Township with amending the Zoning Ordinance to include provisions for freight-based land uses. Additionally, the Township recently adopted an update to the Nazareth Area Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan and G&A will work with the Township to prepare necessary ordinance amendments to ensure consistency between the Plan and the Zoning Ordinance.
