Aqua Water Main Services

G&A provides initial field survey, base plan preparation, layout design, and permitting for water main replacement and construction projects within various counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania.  The size of water mains range from 8” local mains to 30” regional transmission lines.   Our experienced and certified construction testing representatives provide compaction testing for trench backfill projects using nuclear  moisture-density gauges, including projects in PennDOT roadways.  G&A prepares daily field reports for the testing performed, and completes forms (TR-4276A and CS-6) as required in PennDOT project permits.

Plans are utilized to obtain Road Opening Permits from local municipalities and Highway Occupancy Permits from PennDOT.  Additionally, G&A has aided Aqua in obtaining Stream Crossing Permits (GP-5) from PADEP, as well as Erosion and Sediment Control and NPDES permits from County Conservation Districts.

G&A was also contracted to evaluate private water supply wells to determine whether well performance was consistent with original design and construction and adequate for current needs.

G&A has designed 35+ projects for Aqua with total construction costs in excess of $48M.
