The Village at Valley Forge

Located at the convergence of the area’s four largest highways in King of Prussia, The Village at Valley Forge is a 125 acre walkable, amenity rich urban life-style center. Over 3,000 luxury apartments, townhouses, and condominiums are within easy access to one of the largest suburban employment centers in the region. The project also includes 500,000 SF of main street retail and restaurants as well as 1,000,000 SF of corporate and medical office space integrated into a pedestrian oriented experience with walks, bike trails and urban plazas.

G&A was responsible for infrastructure design including internal road way/sidewalk network, utilities, streetscapes, bike trail, pump station and stormwater management system. The stormwater management system employs conventional infiltration techniques on the northern portion of the site underlain by sandstone and an epikarstic gravity drain system into the limestone geology on the southern portion of the site. G&A also serves as the owner’s consultant and designer of modifications to the project infrastructure and permitting to suit the various individual building developer’s needs.

The stormwater management system for the development employs two types of controls: conventional infiltration on the northern portion of the site and an epikarstic gravity drain field system on the southern portion of the site. The system is designed to infiltrate the entire post development 2 year storm of approximately 30 acre/feet.
