Located behind the Union Square Commercial Development and the New Hope-Ivyland Railroad Station, this parking facility was designed to promote ‘park and walk’ opportunities for Borough visitors. The Borough’s goal was to develop a pedestrian friendly facility with convenient access to US 202 that benefits the surrounding business community. A second objective of the project was to incorporate innovative Stormwater Best Management Practices through a unique bio-retention system for stormwater control that promotes pollutant removal and groundwater infiltration for the increased runoff. The direct connection to Route 202 helped to relieve traffic congestions in the center of town.
