G&A’s Toby J. Kessler, P.G. Tours Green Features of Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia
Toby J. Kessler, P.G., a hydrogeologist for Gilmore & Associates, Inc. recently had the privilege of touring the green features of the new Science Center Building at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, for which Gilmore & Associates, Inc. provided a variety of site engineering and surveying services through a partnership with SMP Architects.
The June 18th tour focused on the sustainable features implemented into the design of the school, including rain gardens and cisterns, a vegetative green roof, a solar panel array, and eco-conscious building materials.
Gilmore & Associates, Inc. provided geotechnical investigation, professional land survey, environmental remediation services, construction observation and soils infiltration testing for the project.
